PayFast is a South African payment gateway that supports credit/debit cards, instant EFT, SnapScan, and Masterpass. Booklink's PayFast integration lets service providers collect payment at the time of booking through PayFast's secure hosted checkout page. PayFast charges 3.5% + R2.00 per local card transaction and 2% + R2.00 for instant EFT. Booklink adds zero commission on top. Clients do not need a PayFast account - they pay as guests using their preferred method. This is especially useful for South African businesses whose clients prefer EFT or SnapScan over card payments.

How does PayFast work with Booklink?

Connect your PayFast merchant account in Booklink settings. When a client books a paid service, they are redirected to PayFast's secure checkout to pay via card, instant EFT, SnapScan, or Masterpass. Once payment is confirmed, the booking is automatically marked as paid.

What are the PayFast transaction fees?

PayFast charges 3.5% + R2.00 per local card transaction. Instant EFT is 2% + R2.00. Booklink does not charge any additional commission on top of PayFast's fees.

Do my clients need a PayFast account?

No. Your clients pay through the PayFast checkout page as guests. They can use credit/debit cards, instant EFT from their bank, SnapScan, or Masterpass - no PayFast account needed.

Can I choose which services require payment?
